When a driver forgets to sign in as the primary driver/vehicle operator before beginning a trip,
periods of vehicle motion are recorded as
Unidentified Driver events. The Unidentified Driver
Resolution page displays these events for a given log date, and allows the user to compare
these driving periods to a selected driver's daily log for the
        same date.

        -
            Selected Driver's Log Grid -

                - Continuous lines are used to mark each duty status period.

                - Total time in each status is shown to the right of the grid.

                - Total time spent in all statuses is shown at the bottom right of the grid.

Only Driving (D) events that are
currently unassigned to a driver (aka events with a record status of Active
or Active (won't assign) ) can be shown on the Unidentified Driver's
                    log event list.

                - Events are shown in the sequence that they occured.

This is the same information as displayed on the driver's
                    daily log.

In the list of events for the Unidentified Driver, locate the row(s) containing the
                event(s) you wish to assign.

                Unidentified Driver's list of events.

            -
Enter the reason for the assignment. This reason will be recorded as an
                annotation to each selected event.

            -
Click the Submit button. This moves the event(s) to the selected driver's
log with a record status of
                Inactive - Requested.

            * To select multiple events to assign at once, check the checkbox in the heading row
of the table. This will select all the checkboxes that are visible on the current page.

Points to remember when assigning Unidentified Driver events:

        -
A Driving event cannot be reassigned until driving has ended (i.e., the end date and
time for the status is not blank).

        -
If the selected driver rejects the requested assignment, the rejected event(s) will
return to the list of Unidentified Driver events to be assigned to someone else.

        -
If the selected driver accepts the requested assignment, an On Duty event will be added after each Driving event to mark when driving ended.
If the driver was in some other status (SB or OFF) when driving ended, you may request further edits until the driver's log reflects the actual
            sequence of duty status changes.

        -
Assigning an Unidentified Driver event may cause new conflicts to be reported on the
selected driver's log once the assignment is accepted. For example,
            Missing Start of Day Odometer,
            Missing Odometer, and
Missing Location conflicts are not reported for
Driving (D) status events until those events
            become active.

In the case that an Unidentified Driver event will not be assigned to a known driver,
ELD rules require the motor carrier to
annotate the record to explain why the time will
        remain unassigned.

To mark one or more Unidentified Driver events as Won't Assign:

            -
In the list of events for the Unidentified Driver, locate the row(s) containing
the event(s) you wish to mark as Won't Assign.

            - Check the checkbox to the left of each row.*

            -
Enter the reason that the driving time will not be assigned to any driver. This reason
will be recorded as an annotation to each
selected event and will be shown on the
                Unidentified Driver Report.

            - Click the Submit button.

For each selected event:

                    -
The event record status will be changed
                        to Active (won't assign).

                    -
The event will no longer be included in the Home Page's
                        Unidentified Driver events count.

                    -
The event will no longer be shown in the Unidentified Driver's event list
unless Show Events Marked as Won't Assign has been checked.

            * To select multiple events to mark "Won't Assign" at once, check the checkbox in the heading row
of the table. This will select all the checkboxes that are visible on the current page.

            -
Enter the reason why the driving event(s) will no longer be marked as Won't Assign.
This reason will be recorded as an annotation
to each selected event and will be shown on the
                Unidentified Driver Report.

            - Click the Submit button.

                    -

if Show Events Marked as Won't Assign has been checked.

Points to remember when marking/unmarking Unidentified Driver events as Won't Assign:

            -
A Driving event cannot be marked or unmarked as won't assign until driving has ended
(i.e., the end date and time for the status is not blank).

            -
Any event marked as Won't Assign will not be counted on the Home Page's
                Unidentified Driver events count.

            -
Events marked as Won't Assign will not be shown on the Unidentified Driver's event
list unless the Show Events Marked as Won't Assign checkbox is checked.

            -
Won't Assign events can be assigned to a Driver.

            -
If the selected driver rejects the requested assignment(s), the rejected event(s)
will return to the list of Unidentified Driver events with a
                record status of Active.
