User ID - Identifies the user and is used to sign in to the application.
User IDs must:
- Be between 4 and 20 characters.
- Have no leading or trailing spaces.
- Be comprised of alphanumeric characters.

Contain no special characters except an en-dash (-), underscore (_),
an at symbol (@), a comma (,), or a period (.).

First Name - The first name of the user

Last Name - The last name of the user

Enabled - Determines whether the user is permitted to access the web application

If Enabled (checked) the user is permitted to sign in to the web application,
whereas if Disabled (unchecked) the user is prohibited from doing so.

Disabling a user prevents the user from signing in to the web application
but does not hide the user's records.
To hide a user's records, delete the user's profile.

User Role - Determines the user's level of permissions to web application features
-
Select from any predefined user role
for the organization.
Determines whether the user can access records for all home terminals or a specific
home terminal

All Home Terminals - If enabled (checked), the user is permitted to interact
with all current home terminals and all home terminals created in the future.
If disabled (unchecked), the user's home terminals must be managed manually below.

Available Home Terminals - This is a list of home terminals that the user is
not permitted to interact with, but are available to be added to their list of
approved home terminals

Selected Home Terminals - This is a list of home terminals that the user is
permitted to interact with. Removing home terminals from this list will remove the
user's access to this home terminal

Managing Home Terminals
-
To transfer home terminals from the Available Home Terminals
list to the Selected Home Terminals list, select the home terminal(s)
you would like to move and press the Add > button.

To transfer home terminals from the Selected Home Terminals list to
the Available Home Terminals list, select the home terminal(s) you
would like to move and press the < Remove button.

To add all available home terminals to the Selected Home Terminals list,
click the Add All >> button.

To remove all home terminals from the Selected Home Terminals list,
click the << Remove All button.
* These lists support multi-selection.
You may click and drag, Ctrl + click, and Ctrl + A to select multiple home terminals
Restricting DVIR Access will allow this user to access
DVIRs for only those assets that belong to the selected
Asset Group and/or
Service Location(s).

By Asset Group -
-
If enabled (checked), the user will be permitted to access only those
DVIRs whose asset has been assigned to the selected Asset Group.

If disabled (unchecked), the user has access to all DVIRs regardless of the
asset's assigned Asset Group.

By Service Location - If enabled (checked), the user will only be able to access
DVIRs for assets assigned to the selected Service Location(s). If disabled
(unchecked), the user will be able to access DVIRs for all assets.

To allow the user access to the DVIRs for the location(s),
select the location(s) from the Available Locations list you would like
to allow access to and press the Add >
button to move it to the Selected Locations list.

To disallow the user access to the DVIRs for the location(s),
select the location(s) from the Selected Locations
list you would like to allow access to and press the < Remove button
to move it to the Available Locations list.

To allow the user access to the DVIRs for all available locations in the
Available Locations list, click the Add All >> button.

To disallow the user access to the DVIRs for all locations in the
Selected Locations list, click the << Remove All button.
* These lists support multi-selection.

Points to remember when restricting DVIR access:

Asset Groups and Service Locations are additive.
Points to remember when adding a user:
-
The User ID must be unique.
No two users or drivers in an organization may share the same ID,
even if they are assigned to different
home terminals.
Uniqueness checking is case insensitive and includes both deleted and non-deleted records.

If the viewer's Home Terminal Access
is restricted to a particular home terminal,
that viewer can only add users with Home Terminal Access to that same home terminal.
Points to remember when editing a user:

When changing the User Role or Home Terminal Access for a user who is
currently signed in to the website,
the new permissions will take effect the next time the user (re)loads a web page.

If the viewer's Home Terminal Access is restricted to a particular home terminal,
that viewer can only edit any user's access to that Home Terminal Access.

A user can never change his or her own User Role,
Home Terminal Access, or Enabled status.
Points to remember when deleting a user:
- A user can never delete his or her own user profile.
To reset a user's password:

Click the Reset Password button at the top right of the User Detail page
to reset the user's password to the user's User ID.
* To cancel the password change and keep the user's original password,
press the Cancel button in the top right.
