Uncertified Logs Report
Topics in this section:
The Uncertified Logs Report is intended to help identify uncertified records of duty status
(aka driver logs) that need to be certified or recertified by
the driver. FMCSA regulations require drivers to certify their logs immediately after the
final required entry has been made for the 24-hour period. If any edits are necessary after
the driver certifies the records for a given 24-hour period, drivers must recertify the
updated records. Drivers may use the Certify feature on an ELD-
compliant mobile logging device, or may use the web application
to certify their logs.
The Uncertified Logs Report provides more detail than the
Home Page Summary in that it can be used to list the dates for
which a driver has uncertified logs.
To view uncertified driver logs for one or more drivers:
-
Select a driver's name or (all) from the Driver drop-down list. If you are
the driver, your own name will be selected automatically.
- Select the range of dates for which you wish to check for uncertified logs.
To change a date:
- Click the ... button to pop up the calendar.
- Click on the date desired.
- Click the View button.
-
Driver - The driver for whom uncertified logs have been detected
-
Count - The number of uncertifed driver logs detected for the selected date range
Click on a driver's name to view a list of dates for which that driver must certify or
recertify logs. Click on a date to view the driver log for that date.
Points to remember when viewing uncertified logs:
-
Driver logs for the current day are always excluded from the report, even if those
logs are not yet certified. Drivers are not required to certify the current day's
log until the final entry has been made for the 24-hour period.
-
ELD Exempt drivers are excluded from the report. If a driver will be using an ELD
to record and certify his or her driver logs, be sure to configure the driver with
a non-exempt rule set.
-
Drivers who have never used an ELD are excluded from
the report, because older mobile recording devices (AOBRDs)
do not have the Certify feature. AOBRD users who wish to use the system to certify
their logs may nevertheless use the web application to do so.
Clicking the Export button allows the report data to be exported as a .XLSX file.
