What is the purpose of the Missing Miles Report?

The Missing Miles Report is intended to identify times when increasing odometer readings were detected in conjunction with the following.

• Unidentified Driver activity - A Driving (D) status was recorded but never assigned to a particular driver's record of duty status (aka driver log)
• Undocked driving activity - A Driving (D) status was recorded while the mobile logging device was undocked from its cradle

To view the distance traveled under such conditions:

1. Enter a CMV Power Unit Number to view unknown and undocked activity only for the specified vehicle.
   OR
   Leave the text box empty to view unknown and undocked activity for all vehicles.
2. Select the range of dates for which you wish to view unknown and undocked activity.
   To change a date:
   • Click the ... button to pop up the calendar.
   • Click on the date desired.
3. Click the View button.

What information is displayed in the report?

• CMV Power Unit Number - The vehicle associated with the mobile logging device
• Event Type - The type of driving activity that was recorded
  • Unidentified Driver
  • Undocked Driving
• Start - The date and time when the Driving status began
• End - The date and time when the Driving status ended
• Location - The location where the Driving status began
• Distance Driven - The distance driven during the Driving status

  Distance Driven will be Unknown if the end date and time of the Driving status is not yet known (the status is still 'open') or a start and/or end odometer has not been recorded for the status.
