Device Failure Report

        The Device Failure Report is intended to identify functional problems with mobile logging 
        devices that occurred while a driver was signed into the mobile application.
    
    To view device failures for one or more vehicles:
        
            - Select a CMV Power Unit Number or (all) from the drop-down list.
 
            - Select the range of dates for which you wish to view device failures. 
                
To change a date:
                
                    - Click the ... button to pop up the calendar.
 
                    - Click on the date desired.
 
                
             
            - Click the View Device Failure Report button.
 
        
    
        - 
            CMV Power Unit Number - The vehicle associated with the mobile logging device
        
 
        - 
            Device - The ID of the mobile logging device. Device ID will be blank for older 
            failure reports
        
 
        - 
            Failure Type - The type of problem that caused the device to fail to function as 
            expected
            
                - 
                    EOBR Disconnected - The device was unable to obtain vehicle data, such as 
                    speed or odometer.
                
 
                - 
                    Power Failure - An unexpected loss of power caused the mobile application 
                    to shut down.
                
 
                - 
                    Time Sync Failure - The device date and time were not synchronized with 
                    the web server date and time.
                
 
                - 
                    Unable to Record - The mobile application ran out of memory or failed to 
                    obtain other data critical to its function as a logging device.
                
 
            
         
        - 
            Start - The date and time when the problem was 
            detected
        
 
        - 
            End - The date and time when the problem was resolved
        
 
    
    
        * All dates and times in the Device Failure Report are based on your 
        user preference for time zone.
    
    
        A device failure will have no end date and time if the problem has not yet been resolved or if the 
        mobile logging device has not yet communicated with the web server since the problem was resolved.
