Carriers

* An application user must have a user role with
View/Modify permission to the Admin feature to add, import, edit,
delete, or restore a carrier.
- Carrier Name - Displays the name of the carrier.
- USDOT number - Displays the USDOT number of the carrier.
- Driver count- Displays the number of drivers associated with the carrier.

Status - Displays the status of the carrier.
Active - The carrier is active. It can be assigned when adding or editing drivers or assets.
Deleted - The carrier has been deleted. It cannot be assigned when adding or editing drivers or assets.
A carrier is a motor carrier to which drivers can be assigned. An organization can have multiple
carriers.
To add a new carrier to the organization:

Click the new button . This displays the Carrier Detail page.

Enter a Carrier Name.

Enter a USDOT# (if carrier operates within the US).

Enter the street Address of the carrier
(including the City, State or Province, and ZIP or Postal Code).

Click the Save button to save changes and return to the Carriers list page.
To edit the details of a carrier already existing in the organization:
- Locate the row containing the carrier you wish to edit.

Click the carrier name link. This displays the Carrier Detail page.
- Change the carriers' details.

Click the Save button to save changes and return to the Carriers list page.
Carriers may be deleted from the Carriers list page
(one or more carriers at a time) or from the
Carrier Detail page (one carrier at a time).
To delete an individual carrier from the Carriers list:
- Make sure the Show All or Show Active filter is selected.

Locate the row containing the active carrier you wish to delete.
- Click the delete button to the right of the row.
- A pop-up will display asking for confirmation to delete the selected carrier.
- If confirmed, this deletes the selected carrier.
To delete multiple carriers from the Carriers list:
- Make sure the Show All or Show Active filter is selected.

Locate the row(s) containing the active carrier(s) you wish to delete.
- Check the checkbox to the left of each row.
- Click the delete button above the list to delete the selected carrier(s).
- A pop-up will display asking for confirmation to delete the selected carrier(s).
- If confirmed, this deletes the selected carrier(s).
To delete a carrier from the Carrier Detail page:
- Click on a carrier name to display the detail page.

After the Carrier Detail page is displayed, click the Delete button.
Points to remember when deleting a carrier:
-
You cannot delete a carrier if it has drivers currently assigned to it,
even if those drivers have been deleted.
Carriers may be restored from the Carrier list page
(one or more carriers at a time) or from the
Carrier Detail page (one carrier at a time).
To restore an individual carrier from the Carrier list:
- Make sure the Show All or Show Deleted filter is selected
to show both deleted and active carriers or show only deleted carriers.

Locate the row containing the deleted carrier you wish to restore.
- Click the restore button to the right of the row.
- A pop-up will display asking for confirmation to restore the selected carrier.
- If confirmed, this restores the selected carrier.
To restore multiple carriers from the Carrier list:
- Make sure the Show All or Show Deleted filter is selected to show both deleted
and active carriers or show only deleted carriers.
- Locate the row(s) containing the carriers(s) you wish to restore.
- Check the checkbox to the left of each row.
- Click the restore button above the list.
- A pop-up will display asking for confirmation to restore the selected carrier(s).
- If confirmed, this restores the selected carrier(s).
To restore a carrier from the Carrier Detail page:
- Click on a carrier name to display the detail page.

After the Carrier Detail page is displayed, click the Restore button.
The total number of carriers displayed in the table may be reduced
through the use of one or more page-specific filters.
The filters are live updating.
The displayed list will change as filters are selected.
Click the filter button to hide or show the page filters,
or click the close button in the filter pane to hide the filters.
Click the refresh button to manually refresh the list.
The following page-specific filter options are provided:

Filter By text - Include only the carriers for which a particular
attribute begins with the text specified
To apply this filter:

Select an attribute (such as Carrier Name)
from the drop-down list.

Enter the desired text into the box.
OR
Choose the desired attribute from the provided drop-down list.
To clear this filter:
- Select Clear All at the top corner of filter option.

Carrier Status- include active and/or deleted carrier.
- To include only active carriers, click Show Active (selected by default).
- To include only deleted carriers, click Show Deleted.
- To include both active and deleted carriers, click Show All.
Customizing the list display
To configure which columns are displayed:
- Click the more button , then click Configure Columns.
- Click to deselect or select columns from the list shown. Click Reset to return the selection to the default settings.
- Click Save when finished. The page will update to display the new selections.
- Click Cancel to return to the list without saving any changes.
To change the order in which columns are displayed:
- Click the more button , then click Configure Columns.
- Click and drag the handle button to the right of each column to change the display order. Click Reset to return the selection to the default settings.
- Click Save when finished. The page will update to display the new selections.
- Click Cancel to return to the list without saving any changes.
Points to remember when using filters:

Multiple filters may be used in conjunction.
-
Text-based filtering is not case sensitive, and partial matches are returned.
For example, filtering by Carrier Name = CH or ch
may return carriers named Charleston, Chicago,
or Chula Vista.
